What else is coming up?

Our first big event is our 5K.  There is a spaghetti supper the night before and then our Trot for Catholic Education.  You can sign up online at or you can sponsor the event.  Here is a paper copy that you could bring in to the school.

Each Wednesday during the school year, a blast is sent out with more events and more details about these events. This blast has information for the week ahead but here are some highlights of the 2018-19 School Year.


The Blessing of the Animals is Thursday, October 4th in our school yard at Morning Prayer.

Our Trot for Catholic Education is Saturday, November 3rd with a spaghetti supper the night before.

The Good Shepherd Parish Christmas Fair is November 8th-10th.

The Catholic Schools Week Turkey Dinner is Saturday, January 26th.

Our Academic Fair is Wednesday, January 30th.

The Snowflake Dance is Saturday, February 2nd.

Our School Play will be February 8th and 9th

Haddock Suppers are every Friday during Lent.

Art and Music in our Schools is Thursday, April 4th

Eighth Grade Graduation is Thursday, June 6th.


We are starting our 26th year of Saint James School.  Our Catholic presence in Biddeford/Saco goes much further back but Saint James School is the last Catholic School in the area has been here for twenty six years and continues to be a strong presence in the area!  You are always welcome to join us for some of these activities, whether you are a Saint James graduate or a graduate of another Catholic school, let us celebrate Catholic education together!
