Tomorrow is Pi Day of the Century. The numbers of Pi 3.1415926... fall perfectly in alignment tomorrow, 3/14/15 at 9:26. Saint James School will celebrate Pi Day today at 9:26 a.m. Students walked into school seeing the Pi symbol on the snowbanks and throughout the school. At 9:26 a.m. they all gathered in the cafeteria to create a paper chain up to 200 digits. Each color on the paper chain represented a digit and students could see how this number never repeats. Then, our middle school math teacher told everyone some interesting facts about Pi and read from the book Sir Circumference and the Dragon of Pi. They were all treated to a healthy apple pie before returning to their classrooms to continue with age appropriate celebration whether it was about circles or further understanding Pi. I don't think anyone will ever forget 3.1415926...!
